Behind the sky.

♫ Adele  "Hello"

It was not a happy ending but a happy middle--at last, after so many fraught beginnings.

Now, how beautiful is that freaking sentence! I'm in awe and I'm not going to keep it all to myself, obviously. I've finally finished reading the third and final book of Daughter of Smoke and Bone; which is Dreams of Gods and Monsters and as you can see - I'm in love.

I'm very particular when it comes to book series because I hate waiting and there are only a few series that I would totally recommend because they are really good or else I would just Google them up and read the whole plot without even purchasing the hard copy version of it. So yeah, if I were to recommend any book series IT IS A BIG DEAL and let's just bear with me for a few minutes.

First of all, let's just all bow down to Laini Taylor. This heaven-sent creature (of whom I'm sure one of the Seraphim's descendants as well because oh Lord, she's a word genius) who never fails to captivate you through her words with every turning page. I couldn't help but stop myself for many many times whilst reading all three books because I needed time and strength to digest her words and wonder at the same time how did she do that? HOW. How is this person so freaking talented.

Don't get me started on her characters' development because it's beyond perfect. Each and every one of them. I experienced the feeling I had for Holden Caulfield and Finnick Odair with Akiva. Akiva, who is this dude with this quirky name - he's the Seraph that you are all doomed to fall for once you started reading this. I've also imagined young Cillian Murphy playing as him (yes Universal Studios has acquired the production license for this trilogy, cue confetti fireworks!) or maybe they could just settle for Zac Efron. Pretty sure Akiva is prettier than him but you get the picture.

The ending was perfect too. It's not a typical ending for such fairy tales and it makes sense because life goes on. Stories in books shouldn't have a specific ending, does it? Just because it doesn't end in a definite manner, doesn't mean it's not a happy one. Wow, I think I'm spazzing out of control pretty sure I would need to do a proofreading on this post later.

This book makes you want to live in Eretz. Just like how you wanna live in Hogwarts or even Narnia. Eretz could be added to one of your dream place too okay, make sure to include that. I've stalled reading this book for what; almost one year and a half? Because I was afraid to let it go. To let it end. Once I started reading it, I couldn't even put it down. Managed to finish the 613 pages in 3 days and I had no regrets. So please, pick up this book and let's drool over it together.

Just to add on, other book series that had the same effect on me as this one were: The Hunger Games (duh), The Wolves of Mercy Falls, The Kingkiller Chronicle (the third and final book is still under production and it has been years; Rothfuss please hurry up already!), and If I Stay (praises to Gayle Forman, all her book series is awesome). Yes they are clickable because I want you to fall for them the way I did. Let me know if there are other book series that I need to pay attention to.

Yes I'm writing this with extra giddiness tied to my mind and soul so do understand the euphoria. Bye!
